Just look for a quality Windows 7 certified touchscreen.

I've seen a YouTube video with Windows 8 running on a Dell ST2220T monitor.
I think any Win7 compatible touch screen monitor should work.

no there is no touch screens that are windows 8 compatible yet. they are required to have swiping from screen edge and all current touch screens have raised bezels. you can still operate windows but certain functionality will be lost or limited.

To be compatible they also have to have the ability of 5 point touch. Not many that I can see have that. Just talked to Planar tech and they said most everyone is behind the ball on this and none are out yet.....
