Dear Group Members;

Are any of you operating a Packard Bell with Windows 98? If so, would any
of you please make a system disk, zip the files, and e-mail them to me?

To make a system disk put a blank disk in the A:\ drive. Go to My Computer
and right click on the A:\ drive. Select "Format" from this menu. Then, on
the Format "page" select "Copy System Files only". If you could, please
verify that this disk will boot your PC, and then zip the files into one
zipfile and e-mail them to:

stefjohnson@charter.net

I would be forever grateful. I am trying to recover a crashed hard disk and
I don't have the system files I need to start Windows for the recovery
process.

Thank you all for your time and assistance!

Best regards,

Stef Johnson

Stef,

Why not go to www.bootdisk.com and download the Windows 98 boot disk image, then
make your own system disk, better than Win 98 will make. In fact, it is the
disk needed to install the OS from a CD when a computer does not know how to
boot from CD... Ben Myers
