Go into Windows Explorer and change the options so you can see file extentions and hidden system files. Then go to your C: drive and find Boot.ini. Right click and choose properties. Uncheck read only and hit apply. Make a copy in case it gets screwed up, renaming it boot.old or something. Open the file in notepad. Delete the line under [operatin system] that pertains to WinME. Save the file. Try rebooting; if it works, change the Boot.ini file back to read-only. If not, there was another line that needed to be changed as well that I forgot about (it's not like I do this all the time). You can use the recovery options on the Win2K CD to restore the origional Boot.ini, uning the command promt.
