I am upgrading my current Machine (PII 350 Win98) to AMD Thunderbird 1333MHz and A7A266 Mobo with 2X256MB DDR RAM running Win2K.

I want to put 2 network cards in this machine. One to connect to my @Home cable modem for net access, the other to connect to my P200 print server via a 4 port mini hub.

I have never configured a dual NIC PC in windows 2000. I have a pretty good Idea how to do it but if someone has done this successfully and could give me a few tips and what to watch for I would appreciate it.

The Print server machine does not need Internet access. I use it only as a print server and there is a Zip 100 parallel unit attached which I copy files back and forth between PC's.

The two NIC's are:

Netgear FA310
NDC (crap 10 MB/s card supplied by @Home)

I will be using ZoneAlarm 6 personal firewall as well.

very easy!, even easier for you as both cards are different so will be easier to recognise, just set them up individually as you would normall, i.e. one as your local (192.168blah blah and whatever protocols you use) and the other setup as dhcp (unless you have a static ip of course), oh and dont forget to plug the right cable into the right card- takes AGES to fix if you do that !!

Next time you wave - use all your fingers

Thanks very much. I thought it was something easy like that but I wanted to make sure.
