Win7 wont install any drivers

I Recent reverted back to windows 7 from windows 8 and moved all my files back from the "windows.old" file and everything in order. except it wont install the driver for my wireless adapter so I wasn't able to connect to the internet. so I decided to download from the internet onto a laptop, put them on an external hard drive and then transfer them across but it wont even recognise my external hard drive. PLEASE HELP ME!

The external hard drive may just need a drive letter manually assigning to it:

Iv already tried that, but still doesn't even recognise my wireless adapter but this laptop I'm using recognises it so I know its not broken.

I also tried installing the drivers for my motherboard as I still have the disc but that didn't work either.
