Question window don't detect ram

So I opened my case and I realise that my ram are not connected in dual channel so I change their position. But now window in the task manager show me that I have only 8gb (I have 2 8 gb ram) but in the bios and on cpu-z it show me that I have well 16 gb what is the problem ?

Have you looked at MSCONFIG to see if all the memory is being allowed to run? Go to MSCONFIG > BOOT > ADVANCED> Make sure maximum memory is left unchecked.

That wouldn't be a problem if all ram was the same and you could lump a bunch together and it would work the same as one stick. Unfortunately, that's not how things work.

Without knowing the system specs, I would guess your hardware is not compatible together.
