Ok now my blindness is cured, sorry for that. I had the same issue when upgrading. It takes a little finessing to get things to work. So as you see home groups are dead so by default so is that way to share your files. I run a 36TB (24TB in use) file pool locally and one of the same size remotely on a win 10 system that serves as a home server to back up everything up. So like you I had the same issue when I upgraded windows.
Soo I had to change some settings. First off your going to need to make sure all our files/folders are reshared. Also Your going to need for your remote computer to either have the same login info as your primary PC or you will need to set a new profile with Admin credentials approved to log in to your remote system. It is easier to use the same login/passwords to get this working, then switch later if need be, so I will assume you did this. Once this is done your going to have to map a network drive, just like in the old days. Go to "My PC" and choose network drive. Then choose map network drive. Give the drive a letter name and choose the folder. Since your PC is on the network it will have an address something like \\My server\share where My server is your PC's name and Share is the file path to the files/folders you wish to share. Make sure reconnect at sign-in is checked.
There is one Caveat I have had with this and then only one PC out of 4 has the issue. My primary PC cannot be connected to from the server PC unless the server connects to a file/folder not on my primary OS drive first (still working on that) but after that I can connect to any shared folder on any drive though I am guessing it is a bug on my side I am yet to figure out. Point being is you can still do shares and back up files remotely. Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
