[SOLVED] Windows 10 acitvation error

So I was using windows 10 pro unactivated for a while after I built my pc but today I decided to buy a product key. I bought a windows 10 home key (legit key from microsoft) and I tried activating and I got an error saying the product key didn't work (0xc004f050). I tried restarting my pc and now the watermark is gone but I still can't access any of the personalisation features. Does it take some time to fully activate?

You can not activate Windows 10 Pro with Windows 10 Home key.
You'll have to reinstall to Windows 10 Home.

If you had Home version installed, you could upgrade it to Pro with Pro key. It doesn't work in the other direction.

If you reinstall Windows 10 Home Edition instead of the Pro version, your key will work.

If you reinstall Windows 10 Pro, your key will still not work.

If you want to keep Windows 10 Pro, you need to buy a Windows 10 Pro License.

Yes.
Just make sure you install Home version.
