Windows 10 Activation

Hello,



I have a laptop and a desktop computer. My laptop has the windows 10 upgrade notification. I don't really want to get windows 10 for the laptop.



My desktop computer has a genuine windows embedded 8.1 Industry Pro. It doesn't give me the update. I don't know why. I really want windows 10 on my computer 🙁



So my question is can I use my laptop's windows 8 activation key to install and activate windows 10 in my desktop computer?



And can I use both of them after that?

No but you should be able to force the update on the Desktop

Use the media creation tool from Microsoft to perform the upgrade. The Win 10 app is just a nag and not necessary. Just be sure that your version of windows is eligible!

from googling, I came to conclusion that embedded versions will NOT receive upgrades. They will also actively refuse all manual upgrades too.
They are also not included in "eglible for upgrade" lists and as such, clean install with the license key will most likely also fail.
