Windows 10 activation

I am thinking about upgrading my motherboard and cpu. I had a oem version of windows 8 when i upgraded to the free windows 10 copy.

If i change these parts will i have to buy a new copy of windows 10?

Previous to the latest redstone 2016 version of windows 10
New motherboard and oem windows ment buy a new copy

If you link the windows 10 licence to your microsoft mail account you may be able to transfer the licence

As mbarnes86 said, if you link your license to a Microsoft account then you can change hardware all you want. Do this before upgrading and you should not have an issue.

its says my "windows is activated with a ditgal key linked to your Microsoft account" so its ok to change the hardware?
