My machine is an ASUS P5N-D with a intel core2 quad Q9550, 6GB Ram, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 550Ti, Windows 7 32 bit SP1 Professional.
CPU-Z reports that this CPU Supports the following instructions: MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, SSE4, EM64T, VT-x. When I try to intstal Windows 10 With the 'Get Windows 10' tray icon it says that this CPU is not supported. Is there a way around this?

Did you use Microsoft's tool to double-check beforehand?

http://www.zdnet.com/article/windows-10-will-your-pc-run-it/

That has the link to the Windows 8/8.1 Upgrade tool (which tests your PC to see f it can handle Windows 8)...& essentially, if it can't handle Windows 8, it can't handle Windows 10.

Yes I did use the Windows 8/8.1 Upgrade tool and It said that my computer would run Windows 8.1 With the exception of Microsoft Security Essentials, It said my hardware and apps were compatible. When I try to use the 'Get Windows 10' Icon from the system tray, it says my CPU isn't supported.

I was able to install Windows 10 by bypassing the tray icon and using the Microsoft Media tool and downloading Windows 10 directly. I followed the instructions on this link.

Was thinking of buying a used dell 780 desktop or hp8000 desktop with c2d e8400 with 4gb ram 1333 MHz bus speed. But since I heard that it's cant handle multitasking, so I'm wondering if that is true for c2d n c2q.
I will not be using Gpu right now.
My multitasking include nonstop utorrent, with using words n excel , or watching full Hdd movies 1080p ones around 2-4gb file size, or streaming those movies, shows, or files to other devices, or streaming on YouTube, n maybe later hook it up to led to as well through hdmi port or wifi. While utorrent is being in used. Will be using 2hdd n dvdrw as well.

The reason I'm looking is I had dell optiplex gx620 desktop with 280w of dell , used 2 hdd, did combo, no Gpu or sound card, did all that fine till I reached Windows 7 32bit ( as 64 bit wouldn't run properly at all.) even with win 7 , I had lagging issue now n then.

As I need to run to system for 5 years or so.
