Windows 10 Anniversary Update Coming This Summer, Free To Win10 Users

Any data sent to Microsoft we can know about because it goes through our own local area network. I am curious to see somebody monitor all this and see what data is being sent to Microsoft's IP addresses of its various servers.

i could care less about private. i want to have control over all the crap i dont want running or the fact that win10 updates drivers to what it wants whether they are good or bad.

i had to revert back to a previous synaptics driver 3 times on my last machine because it kept updating without my permission and the "tool" you can download from microsoft didn't stop it.

Then don't use Windows. You are not forced to use Windows.

If you don't like Windows, the only way to express your distaste is to not use it. All you people on this thread who talk about how you can't stand Windows and still use Windows are hypocrites.

Who is forcing you? you Chose to use windows. You chose to use it because popular school/work software like word and Photoshop etc run on it. You chose to use windows because almost all games run on it. You choose to use windows because its come with most computers and you probably cant be bothered to install something else. Either way they are all choices. You decide to use those features, Microsoft didnt come to your house with a gun and make you.

it's not even for that, windows 10 is constantly uploading and downloading "something"... I use a connection that only allows me to download with 200KB/s, barely I installed windows 10 I noticed the diff in my games: from 90ms went to 130ms...

than, I heard that the data they get, is not used to spy on you, is to sell to third party corps so that they can put advertisements on your screen or send you emails with spam and "special offers", among other things.

What Microsoft is doing is perfectly legal because it is in their terms probably, everything is always in the fine print, and by agreeing to use their product, you are agreeing to the terms. So I don't care if they collect my data. I choose to use Windows anyway, because I agree with the Terms of Use.

Glad they update windows 10.

A clunky OS with ever bizarre completely random malfunctions deserve BIG improvements as it is light years away from being CONSTANTLY stable!

In my experience best toworst OS are
1) Win 7
2) Win Vista
3) Win XP
4) Win 10
4) Win 98
5) Win 3.0 and 3.1
6) then last of course is Win 95.

No, that is not my fault, because previous version from windows never gave me worst ping. from all the versions I used over the years, windows 7, 8 and 8.1 maintained my connection speed. only windows 10 reduced it. how can that be my fault when a OS should not even be sending or downloading files to your computer? afaik, only windows has some sort of thingy uploading or downloading, and I used a Linux Ubuntu long time ago, and in that time Ubuntu didnt even connected to the internet, only the browser or games would connect, otherwise Ubuntu would be like in offline mode (can be wrong though, in that time I didnt knew a thing about linux - still don't). dont know now, in 2016. and, (information provided on the internet, never tested) if you block windows services process and all the other process's wasting your connection from connecting to the internet on the hosts file, you still can connect to the internet through your games and browser, but your computer will just assume you are offline. now, how can that be my fault? if windows works offline, it should not even have process's connected to the internet.

Do you even know what communism is???? It's a political ideology that's says all the spoils from labor should be reaped by those who performed the labor and that resources shold be distributed equally among all classes regardless or financial or social standing. What in the fuck does communism or the Communist state have to do with THIS story. If you're going to try to sound intelligent, at least know what you're talking about first. What you're talking about is closer to fascism whete there are no individual rights which is on the other end of the spectrum from communism.

Perhaps the suggestion to upgrade ton Windows 10 is the worse ever? Windows 7 and Vulkan API is all I need, thank you very much.
