Hi all,
I've just built a brand new PC and spent pretty much the last 4 hours trying to install windows 10 on it. I've tried booting from a USB and from a disk and neither of those options have worked as windows has prompted me to install a driver. I've even tried installing windows 7 and it hasn't worked. Could anyone give me any insight into this issue.
Thanks

Yeeeaaah... my MB bios doesn't have an option for IDE, it only has an option for RAID and ACHI.

Hello... set to ACHI (save&exit) there might also be a controller IDE MODE below there.
I think a USB stick and Install DVD will work best here... see ***

1) Insert the CD that came with the MB...if none go to 2) if yes go to 3)
2) then DL the MB Makers SATA/ACHI pre-intall driver on a FAT32 formated USB stick.
3) and direct the install software/files to it when asked. B )

*** or copy the CD/DVD ACHI.sys install files to a FAT32 formated USB stick first... since you only have one CD/DVD drive these days, you won't have to remove the Windows install DVD.
