Hey all!
I was using my pc when the power adapter shifted and disconnected from the outlet. Upon securing the power cord and turning on the computer, Windows eventually directed me to an automatic repair screen, saying Windows could not automatically fix the problem. So far I've tried restarting pc, system restore, startup repair, and a Windows reset. After waiting for the Windows reset, I received a message saying the reset failed and nothing changed. Not sure if it matters, but Windows 10 was installed (not update from previous OS) using a disc! I was told I need to use the disc to repair, but am not sure how exactly the disc helps. I have run the repair option with the disc but am unable to find out which option will fix the problem. Any and all help is appreciated! :)

Sadly if the MBR can't be repaired, this means that the only other choice is to re-install the OS.

As I mentioned previously, don't forget to run a backup after you're back up and running.
Sounds like your MBR is corrupt and/or damaged. Repairing the MBR will likely fix this issue. Here's a guide on how to fix it: https://neosmart.net/wiki/fix-mbr/

In the future, you'll want to back up your data in the event this happens again you'll want to be protected. If you don't back up already, a tool like Macrium Reflect or Rollback Rx will do the trick.

LukeFatwalker thanks for the reply! So I tried the instructions listed for win10 on neosmart which left me with the following.
Your pc/device needs to be repaired.
The bolt configuration data for your pc is missing or containing errors
File:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\BCD
Error code: 0x000000f

And I'm only left with the ability to access UEFI firmware settings. Anyone have any ideas?
