I've been getting like a 50% ram usage on idle ever since I updated to these build versions. I can't run a system recovery because the windows.old folder is deleted and I just reformatted to see if the issue gets resolved but it wasn't. Any thoughts? Also I got a ryzen cpu.

Solution
Every time I get a Chrome update it uses more RAM.
Besides open tabs, in Chrome , every extension gets its own process.
It's convenient if one tab or process crashes it won't affect the others but the result lead to higher RAM usage.
There are some extension and webpages that uses too much memory, you could check those and see if you have one leaking memory.
You could lower Chrome RAM usage by disabling Chrome’s prerendering, but it will make pages to load a bit slower.
I will get concerned when the system slows down because of high memory usage.
If you're not using the RAM for other tasks, you should not be concerned, RAM is useless if is not used.
When I use other apps that require RAM then I close most tabs.

See image below.
I...
Have you checked the Task Manager to see which process are using the RAM?
If you haven't, download and install the chipset drivers for your platform (A320, B450, X470, etc.) from AMD.
I have a Ryzen system and did not have any noticeable difference in RAM usage between 1809, 1903 & 1909.

After these updates, there could be some other updates downloading and or Windows Defender (or any other AV) doing a scan.

Chrome is using the most ram, nothing else with high usage,
yeah I got all the drivers,
thx for the reply, maybe I'm overreacting and having 45-50% usage on 8gb ram is normal..

I have 6 Chrome tabs and there are 27 Google Chrome processes.
The system as a whole is using 26% of memory and Google Chrome alone is using 2GB of memory with only 6 Chrome tabs.
