I upgraded my PC (Built, i5-4670k, R9 270X...) to Windows 10 from Windows 7. At first things were alright, But chaos erupted soon after. All updated drivers were installed, worked fine for a couple of hours. During a skype call to a friend, I noticed steam will not open. Chrome works, skype works, but suddenly not steam. I ended the call and restarted the computer, and all hell broke loose.
The computer started up again, and friend complained that there is loud buzzing on my microphone. I go to check settings... and guess what. It doesn't open. I can't roll back to windows 7 because of the lack of working settings app. Skype freezes up, and NOTHING works. clicking start menu doesn't do anything

--UPDATE--
PC sometimes seems to hang at the windows loading screen

Keep in mind windows is running on a functioning SSD.
Any advice on what this could be?
Thanks

I am having issue with Win 10 too. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3150387/stuck-problems-windows.html

Sorry I have no suggestions, but I looked at your thread to see if I could help. I have been reading up a bit since having trouble. If you are having issues with the Start Menu not responding, thee are fixes for that.

Some of the posts saying that they had problems, are sadly, kind of reassuring.

For me a complete re-install might help since I did an over the top upgrade. I have so little confidence that it will fix stuff though. Part of my problems are that Win 10 doesn't have Windows Easy transfer which makes re-installing a breeze. Meaning no real hassle to whip about re-installing OS, has gone. There are other apps but...
I honestly don't know what you could do other than save all of your files and reinstall windows 10 from the settings. If your SSD is small see if it is full, sometimes that can cause a lot of problems.

The SSD is 88.5GB free of 112GB, but thanks for the suggestion :)
The only way to access refresh/reinstall would be through F8 on startup.

There are other apps but they ither cost money or you have to try emailing to find out what is transferred.
