Windows 10 Command Prompt is not running commands

few bits of information are missing:
What command?
where does said executable actually reside?
and what error message does it give?

Without above, no one can tell what you are trying to run and where said thing is and thus why it wont run for some reason.

Im trying to run an exe which needs to be launched from the console but i have tried a few other commands after not seeing this work and they saying the same message

Open file explorer and in search box write:
steam-idle.exe

Go to your command prompt and execute:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\idlemaster"
steam-idle.exe
