When I play a game (doesn't seem to happen browsing the internet) my task manager shows my disk usage spike randomly, and sometimes it will spike up to 100% and if it does it will totally crash my computer. Everything will freeze and then it will bluescreen, when it does I need to manually turn it off because it never restarts like it said.

I can't play any games because of it, any advice?

Solution
I'd start by running diagnostics:

(My best guess right now is a bad HDD or SSD. Whatever your games are on)

1. Drive by manufacturer (Seagate Disc Wizard-> DST etc)

2. Memtest86 www.memtest86.com (full pass)

3. CPU (i.e. Intel CPU diagnostic from Intel site)

Other:
If it's major software corruption then you could try an in-place upgrade:
a) insert W10 install media (can create from MS if needed)
b) run "setup.exe"
c) make sure to select "keep data and all apps" (or however it's worded)
d) finish (skip key if prompted)

Solution
Hi,

May we know more information about your PC? (specifications) Please do try these troubleshooting steps as well that may help.
- First is to run Windows Update and install all the update available.
- Once done, do run SFC Scanner.
- Search for Command Prompt, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
- Once open, type sfc/scannow then press Enter. While until it finish the scan and see if it will solve the issue or not.
- If these steps will not work, proceed with doing a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics card driver.
- Next is to open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to the graphics card.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Reboot the laptop once the latest driver has been installed then test it again.
- If the same problem will persist, do also run a memory test just to make sure everything is working properly.
- If everything will pass the test I would suggest reinstalling Windows 10.
