Hi! I moved the SSD from my old laptop to a newer laptop (gen4 to gen6), on which I installed Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (I think it's customized) because I have some applications that I don't have access to reinstall.
Windows opens, but I can't install the drivers (the driver setup gives an error at some point, Hp Support assist doesn't install, and if I try to manually enter them I get the message: One of the installers for this device cannot perform the installation at this time windows 10.
windows encountered a problem installing the driver windows 10 enterprise)

reinstalling windows and generating a new regedit file is not a solution.

if I want to install any other application it works (for example totalcmd)
everything related to drivers and driver setup doesn't work..

I tend to think that something is modified in windows to not allow the installation of other drivers..but I can't identify what..

I would appreciate your help

You can't simply move a hard drive upon which Windows (any version) has been installed from one system to another in the manner you did. The system registry customizes to the hardware upon which it is installed. Reinstallation (your preferences don't enter into this) is the only way forward.

it's not a problem that I moved the hdd. in that operating system there is a command, a registry or an application that blocks the installation of new drivers.. it's not the first time I've moved an hdd to another pc and it works without problems. I can't identify what blocks the installation of drivers..

Your problems all originate with the moving of the drive. The only way to fix this is to reinstall Windows. Until you do this you will experience no end of issues, big & small. What issues you may or may not have experienced in the past are completely irrelevant to the current situation.

To be clear, sometimes a "move" works and sometimes it does not. Seems the latter in this case. @ex_bubblehead is spot on, you are likely to chase many little things to get this "move" to work properly and that a fresh, clean installation of Windows and your applications is the best path forward.

Why is that not an option?
