Hi guys,

I need help...
I am having random freezes for several seconds. They only happen when I am not running games. When they occur hard drive stops working (HDD LED is off), windows don't respond when clicked minimize, expand or close, browser's player stops video and shows buffering animation. I can still move cursor though and see taskbar animation. When the freeze passes hdd stars working at 100% load, everything I clicked pops up, windows minimize/expand/close.
For some reason this only happens on Windows, not Linux. I have licensed Windwos 10 so this is not a virus.
I don't think it is hard drive or memory related as I checked every RAM stick and hard drive separately.

My PC:
HIPRO HPD5801AW
MSI 970A-G43
FX-4300 (Turbo core disabled)
CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 Evo
KVR13N9S8H/4 x1 KVR13N9S6/2 x2
Asus EX-GTX1050-2G
NF-P12 PWM x2 with y-cable
120mm default DeepCool fans with fan controller

If your drive stopps working and windows stalls until it catches up that suggests you have some drive faults. Also legitimate windows gets viruses just as much as malware bytes. Try these steps

Go to users/[Youruser]/%AppData%/Local/TEMP and delete everything if it says any files are in use skip those and delete the rest.
Note AppData is hidden by default so you may need to go to file explorer's properties and check the show hidden box.

Next install any windows updates and update your video drivers

Next follow this guide to check your disk help and repair any errors found http://www.thewindowsclub.com/hard-disk-drive-health

finally run a disk defragmentation.

LORDPrometheus, thank you for the reply.
I did as you said, SMART analyses show HDDs are good. No errors were found. Disk defragmentation did not help.
I run with the latest updates and video driver.
Windows defender, AVG or Kaspersky detect no malware.
