Hello,
Windows 10 Home came preinstalled on my Lenovo Thinkpad X270.
I want to do a clean install, and to that matter I prepared a USB stick created using Media Creation Tool on system with Windows 10 Pro.
Did a install, erased all previous installations and partitions and afterwards again got Windows 10 Home.
Again did total wipe of disk and installed again, same thing.
It seems that somehow the machine's hardware and Win 10 are linked, i.e. during installation Windows checks some hardware IO and detects license according to it.
I could upgrade to Pro within Home, but I want to install from the scratch Pro version.
I may even go to Win11 but not yet because it is not officially supported and want to avoid possible issues with drivers etc.
So, any ideas how to get Pro on this one?
