I recently made a new computer and am trying to install windows 10. Everything has been running smoothly until I got the error message:

"Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation"

I've looked online and saw that you can do shift + f10 to access command prompt and do stuff there but I've come across a problem I haven't seen solved yet:

The keyboard does not work when windows 10 displays the message

The keyboard works fine in the BIOS but all of a sudden doesn't work in the boot of windows 10. I've tried using other keyboards including my PS/2 keyboard. Whenever I get past the BIOS and into the Windows 10 install the keyboard just stops working.

Solutions Attempted:
Disabling XHCI Hand-off
Disabling EHCI Hand-off
Disabling Legacy USB Support
Disabling Onboard USB 3.0 Controller

System Specs:
CPU: AMD FX 8350
GPU: GeForce GTX 970
Motherboard: MSI GAMING 970
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB (2x4GB)
PSU: EVGA 500W

Plug in ur keyboard first

Just go to device manager and if you see if there are any unknown/unidentified devices.Just right click on those and click on update driver and follow the setup steps.make sure you're connected to the net.

This is my first install of windows on this system so there is no way to access the device manager. There is not past version of windows to change those settings.

I will assume that you'll be having a mouse(if you don't then buy one)and just complete the installation with mouse and the on-sreen keyboard which is present in the setup only.

I already finished the setup stage but when windows boots up after it the error message is displayed with no way to put up the command prompt without a keyboard. A on-screen keyboard is not available to me here because the error message is displayed at the windows logo and spinning circles screen.

I tried again on a different disk and with standard settings, still nothing.

Then its he worst thing. The DVD/PD you are trying to install windows with doesn't have complete files and its useless.
But here's the solution:-
On another system/PC:
download windows iso from here:https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10
and follow the steps to create a bootable USB and instal windows from it .
That should finally(phew) fix it. Enjoy =)

Don't forget to mark solution if fixed.

I will try again but I already formatted a usb stick twice. I'll try using a different usb stick. Will update later.

Nope, the installation still refuses to recognize a keyboard after formatting another usb for the thrid time in a row.
Something I would like to point out though, my keyboard light flickers on and off as the boot to windows starts up. So something must've happened between the bios screen and windows screen to create this. I've tried changing USB options in the BIOS but that doesn't seem to change it a bit either. My PS/2 keyboard is also unresponsive during windows startup so it might not even be a USB problem altogether
