Hi all this is my first pc build and im having this issue.
So the main issue is that during Windows 10 installation or even before it even begins, the pc just reboots again and again to the Windows 10 setup.

-Ryzen 5 5600x with stock cooler (New)
-Gigabyte Gtx 960 4gb windforce blue(used)
-Mobo: Msi b550m pro vdh wifi (New)
-Ram:2 sticks of 8gb 3600 crucial ballistic black (New)
-M2 Crucial P5 250 gb (New)
-Psu:Corsair cxf rgb 550 watts white (New)
-Bios last one from february 24 2022 and default settings no xmp to the ram or oc to the cpu and the bios recognizes all the components
-Usb drive toshiba 8gb

I have tried these things to try to isolate the issue:

  • Only cpu and cooler ez debug on ram so good i guess
  • Only cpu and ram led vga
  • cpu,gpu and ram boot led on
  • I have tried running the installation with one ram stick, still reboots on installation
  • I have tried two different M.2 SSDs, same issue
Im gonna try another usb drive tomorrow but i dont know if that could be the solution or not so i come here seeking for any advices of what it could be.

Try booting the PC to a bootle Linux USB.
If that doesn't work, I agree with you that it is probably a fault in the motherboard. I had a similar issue recently on a desktop PC, but before it rebooted it showed a screen of colorful lines, and it was the motherboard in the end. That's the only difference.

Yes, i already tried linux from usb but it happens the same thing, i click start linux mint mate 64 installation, then appears the linux logo for a couple of seconds and then reboots as usual, already ordered a new mobo so will see if it was mobo, i guess it has to be because the only thing left that i didnt change yet is the gpu and the cpu but this one seems okey no pins bended good temperatures and voltages so it should not be cpu

So it was the mobo. Good you figured it out.

Regarding my case, it was the processor. I sent machine to shop and they diagnosed with different PSU, processor. Now my processor is in replacement process.

I have never seen a PSU go bad before. Very interesting.

Regarding the "solved" option, there should be a trophy icon next to the poster's name, if I remember correctly.

During my research when problem arose, many people suggested to check PSU over here and other forum. Even one of the technicians I consulted doubted the same.
However PSU was fine in my case.
