Question Windows 10 Installer won't detect old Intel SSD

I found a old cheap SSD and decided to use it as a boot drive to save some boot time, but when I install it, the windows 10, but when I use file explorer, it can detect it, I used CrystalDriverMark, it has lower read and write speeds than a normal ssd but faster than a hdd, I can place and move files there too, is driver issue related to this?

80gb drive? too small for windows.

Many hings default to the C drive.
80gb is too small. 120gb at least, preferably 240gb or more.
Thwe original X25-M drives were sata 2 and slower than current gen.

To help with your boot issue, do not power off.
Use sleep to ram(no hibernate) instead.
That puts the pc and monitor into a very low ower state,not much different from a full power off.
Sleep and wake are only a few seconds.

You should be able to format the SSD in Windows 10. Just make sure that you have moved over your files to a USB thumb drive first. Once you are sure that all your files are safe, go to Disk Management in Win 10. You should see an un-formatted drive with a black bar on top. Right click on that drive and create a new simple volume. Click next then assign a drive letter.
