Microsoft announced that the next iteration of Windows 10 Mobile has been released to the Insider Preview fast lane. The new version fixes a number of issues, improves some features, and finally introduces the Edge branding for the new browser.

Sounds like a good update. Adding a torch to the action centre will stop all those torch apps in the store from sucking all your data to them at least! Not sure why it wasn't there such a long time ago.

you know, reading this I'm almost nostalgic about wp now that I've been back to the buggy mess that is android for a while. if only they could get the apps on board, just like Windows itself it will always be more stable and low maintenance

Its true, Some of the flashlight apps(and they have sooo many) want access to your contacts/internet/history/ect

At the most it should only need camera access to turn the led on.

Kind of funny that the images in the article are of a phone with no led flash.
