I did a clean windows 10 install today and my audio isn't working anymore. the icon on the toolbar says that no speakers or headphones are connected. The diagnostic once said that no audio sources are recognized and other time it said that i have to do a reboot. After the reboot i still didn't have audio and the diagnostic just failed to recognize any problems. I had a problem with audio in games before i did a clean install, where i just had some weird noise while playing.I have now done some windows updates and downloaded Geforce experience.

Have you tried to right click on the speaker icon and select Playback devices and tested the different sources to see if they work? On my computer the USB headphones test fine but nothing else, even with updated drivers from both Realtek and NVidia. The only way I can get sound to work is to disable everything except the headphones and they work fine then.

I'm bad in doing something with drivers, but i have an old hp prebuilt pc and i've upgraded my graphics card and cpu a long time ago. In playback devices i've got only 4 nvidia outputs. And i don't know what drivers i need to download.

Well i fixed it. Found a reddit post and that helped me. I had to choose the drivers from my pc. Though i still have the problem in games that i had before reinstalling windows 10. The weird noise still isn't gone.
