Question Windows 10 PC fails to work properly after a gaming session or prolonged use

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking your time to help me. I have been having a weird issue with my PC for the past couple days. After a 45 minute to 1 hour gaming session, my Steam tab turns unresponsive, my internet browser, my discord fails to load any pictures or videos, and my computer becomes slower than usual.

Searching anything on my computer doesn't work. Task manager doesn't end the task for the programs when I tell it to. Sometimes my browser just randomly stops responding during a video. My only solution to this problem is to restart my PC. Usually restarting my PC works normally, but with this new issue it fails to restart, having me to manually turn off my PC with the power button.

Any help is appreciated. If you need more of a description on whats happening please let me know. Also I should add that when restarting my computer, Program Manager prevents it from shutting down. Force shutting it down doesnt work and it hangs at the restarting screen, bringing me to manually shut it down.

malware scan the system?

Use HWInfo64 to check your CPU and GPU temperatures, could be that the overheating is causing the freezing, though that sounds weird.

230W PSU
1660 ti AERO 6GB
I7 9700 clocked at 3 GHz
Windows 10
1 Samsung ssd 286 GB
1 WD Blue HDD 1 TB
Scan came up clean, temps are normal with gpu idling at 35 c and the CPU idling at 40 to 45 c

Same PSU but instead of 330 watts it's approximately 250 or 230

Yes. msi trident 3 9th ac/DC adapter

I feel like it's not a power supply issue. But a memory leak

Temps are normal with the GPU idling at 35 c and stays under 75 c if I remember correctly. Cpu idles at 40 c or 45 c and never goes above 75c

Since you have an MSI prebuilt system, I'd suggest you just contact MSI and let them solve the issue themselves, rather than take the hassle of fixing it yourself. Just backup your data and stuff because they might just send you a replacement.
