I really didn't get what actually windows 10 ready is??
I have got a new motherboard. That comes with a label 'windows 10 ready'.Do I have to install a new one or just activate the free one??

Solution

There is no "free one." You will have to buy a copy of Windows 10 because your equipment is already Windows 10 ready.

This is a common phrase here in America that goes back to the beginning of the 20th century, over 100 years ago. It just means that you are ready for the next best thing. Since I was born in the United States, I have heard this phrase all my life.

The "blank blank ready" phrase that annoyed me the most was back in the 1980s when CDs first became popular, a lot of speakers and amplifiers started advertising that they were "digital ready." That catch phrase meant nothing then and it means nothing now. At least "Windows 10 ready" means a little something.
