Windows 10 reset not working

I've decided that my computer must have gotten a virus or some kind of malware and lots of it at that because it has progressively gotten slower over a couple of months. I decided I should just start new again and reset everything and reinstall windows but when I tried about 5 minutes into the reset it restarted and said "Problem while resetting no changes made". How do I fix this and why is it doing this?

its possible to fix reset but its easier to just do a full reinstall since you were doing a full reset anyway

download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

change boot order so USB is first, hdd second
boot from installer

when you reach screen asking for a licence key, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 should auto activate once install is finished.
