is it normal for when my pc goes in sleep mode and when it comes back online the ghz is locked at 1.2ghz from 3.8?, i have to restart my pc to get it back to maximum frequency is this just a windows 10 thing? i enabled speed step and that is the only way it doesnt lock the multiplier at x12 but i dont want that feature on, just wondering if there is a windows way or something in the bios i am missing that would not down clock it when i put the pc to sleep, but i never actually do put the pc to sleep anywise just wondering what is going on

Solution
Windows 10 will do that often best way is to disable sleep mode if you are not using a laptop.
Have windows 10 turn off the monitor after 1 hour and leave everything else going.
alright ty, so its normal? nothing wrong with my cpu? its just the sleep mode causing this? i switched it off and put my power settings on performance mode. i noticed it when my games were extremely laggy and realized the sleep had locked the ghz frequency at 1.2ghz, the only thing that doesn't lock the speed after sleep is if i enable lockstep but i don't want that feature on. I will just leave sleep off i have never really used it too much.
