Hi guys,

Hi guys,

I recently bought a new Crucial BX100 SSD.
My computer is a HP Elitebook 8570w laptop.

When I go through a custom install of Windows 10 from my USB key, it displays me the following error message.

Hello... Start a fresh OS load on the SSD installed only, remove the HD, it will not be needed at this time.
1) Basically you need to follow the 'clean install" procedure, basically you must have a Partition free SSD to have room for the OS install, Windows will create it's own Partitions during the install. http://www.howtogeek.com/224342/how-to-clean-install-windows-10/
2) any hardware changes to the MB need to be save&exit... before use.
3) You may not have ACHI driver support with the Windows 10 install version, and need to DL the driver for pre-install, from your Laptop site. This is needed to communicate to the "non -standard" brand/model of chip on your MB.

4) Typically MB hardware defaults are not needed to be change, since you had a working HD and OS before the SSD attempt at install. If ya think you tweeked too much, try a and see if the ORIG HD OS drive will boot up again... If not re-set/clear MB Bio's to get it working again.

I can't remove the HDD because this is a laptop.
I already set up the BIOS with default config, before switching to ACHI mode.

EDIT: Solution --> install Windows 8.1 with ACHI mode. the upgrade to windows 10 ;-)
