hello

i have couple of Questions regarding this , I just finished my build and wondering if installing windows 10 and then upgrading to 11 is better or just go with 11 straight ? I will be using a product key i purchase (didn't yet) , worth saving a little and update or go straight to 11 to save any issues?

Also Do i update bios on motherboard before i install windows? or do that after?

thank you

its a new build so pretty sure it will be fine.

Yes.
But where did THEY get it from?

Its not like they have a special line to Microsoft to get 'cheap ones'.

Very often, these are a result of money laundering.
um a main youtuber won't be promoting money laundering business would they? I dunno people say get key instead of buying full windows copy which is way too expensive.

HAHAHAHA....
They get paid to promote that. Seriously.
i understand that , i am not saying otherwise but my Question is are those keys as valid as getting a new one? or is there a loophole to those that i am not getting , i just wanna have basic windows and rather not pay 200 euro for it if i can avoid

Some of them are technically valid, others not.
The technically valid ones may be directly purchased from MS, but with stolen credit cards. Money laundering.

The cost of a Windows license is no different than the cost of all your hardware.
Given your system, a Windows license is, at most, 10% of that system. For a product you can likely use for more than a decade,.

You'll be able to use that valid Win 11 license for far longer than your hardware will last.

You can transfer license to new pc though.
ok just was about to ask this , So anyways i can deactivate the license on this pc and move it to new one? I have windows 10 pro installed and i think it was upgrade from older window (7 or 8) , Can i still install windows 11 pro from usb drive and the licence would work / activate?

also would my current pc have any issues ? to run without windows.

You install windows on your new pc. The same edition as on old pc.
And use procedure to reactivate after significant hardware change.
Windows gets activated on new pc and deactivates on old pc.

There's a requirement though. On both pcs you have to use microsoft online account (with local account this will not work). Account needs to have admin rights assigned and license has to be linked to it.

Oh yes.

But he asked about "both PC".

One or the other....not both.
if my current pc can stay functional till i am set up with new without window license i wanna do that. Question is i got hard copy / key for windows 8 pro i believe which i had upgraded to 10 , So would i need to install windows 8 on new system? or 10? or can i use the same key to get directly to 11?

Is your current WIN 10 license linked to your MS account?

If so, that is all you need.
To activate the new system, log on to your MS account, and tell it "I'm using this PC now" (or words to that effect)

You do not need anything Win 8, or 10.
