windows 10 to 8.1

can i just have a full set of instructions on what i need to install and whatnot because i'm confused

so i bought a new laptop it has windows 10 (clean) i don't want that, my current has 8.1 (can i use that product key) but i heard about drivers and i'm not sure

You would need to purchase a valid Windows 8.1 license, and use that for your install.
You can't use the install or the license from your other laptop. That license belongs to that laptop.

You can download the Windows 8.1 ISO, and create your own USB.
