Windows 10 transferability?

My previous system had burned out (Mobo failure) and I am looking to buy a new system. Since my motherboard fried is there a way to transfer Windows 10 to my next computer? I used the free upgrade that Windows put out a while back, and had a purchased version of Windows 7 before that.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

you will need to reinstall with the new hardware

If the version of windows was a full retail version, then yes you can transfer Windows 10 to the new system.

If it was an OEM version, then you would need a new license.
