Hey guys,

So ever since i installed Windows 10 in my new build, i haven't been able to install cumulative Windows updates. Every time I search for the update using the Windows automated update feature, it proceeds to download and then begins to install. At 99% installation, it cancels everything and says "2018-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4093112) - Error 0x800f081f". I did my research and most of the solutions state that it's a .NET Framework issue and so i proceed to follow the solutions by enabling the .NET framework and deleting my downloads in the SoftwareDistribution folder in the OS Drive etc. etc. However, the issue still remains. Any suggestions?

Kind Regards,

Suggest you read through this article :https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/windows-update/9e8689cd-262c-45e5-8fb5-9251858586f6

Looks like for some people the issue remains unfixed, but for others the fixes outlined do work, also seems MS is aware and working towards improving updates.

Have you tried rebooting the computer, and then checking for windows update again? This fixed it for a similar issue for me.
