Hi, I am trying to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 on a new pc.
However, installing from the auto ISO gets me the error: an unknown command line option /dynamicupdate was specified

Then I tried to put it on a USB from a laptop. It is set to 64 bit. Trying to open it from my Windows 7 gets me the error: configuration sets are only supported when windows installation is started from windows PE

A thread here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/error-when-installing-windows-7-configuration-sets/721ea598-6c04-4791-845e-f0b942d685b0

...Tells me to boot from the USB.

Finally, I try to boot into it. Then I get the last error: cannot read the productkey setting from the unattend answer file

Everywhere I go, there seems to be another problem, the last one also having close to no solutions on an actual computer (its all answers to vmware stuff; I'm trying to install into an actual computer).

Thanks for your time,

I'd try to repair the windows 7 repair utility and ensure you have all updates before attempting an upgrade.

There's another problem here too, I tried to update; about approximately 200 updates were scheduled, executed, but then after restarting it "failed to update" and reverted back. It took 2 hours to update and about another for reverting.

For the repair utility I'll give it a shot- what should I be looking to repair ?
