Hi all,
My dad upgraded his dell vostro 3550 laptop to windows 10 and told me his screen is just staying black (with backlight). Took it and plugged it into my TV and there it was, all upgraded fine but will not display on the laptop.
He has a built in Intel had graphics 3000 (whatever the heck that is) driver 9.17.10.4329 if that means anything! Downloaded an Intel driver update utility and apparently there are no new driver updates for the laptop...
Sounds like an issue with the drivers to me but you guys got any ideas?

EDIT: it's shows boot menu and windows logo with spiny circle before the display goes.
