Windows 10 upgrade stuck at 99%

I have a clean install of Windows 7 with the latest drivers for my graphics card (EVGA GeForce GT 730 2GB). When I try to upgrade to Windows 10 it gets suck installing at 99% for at least 8 hours & it does the same thing when I do it manually with some tool people recommend. Now I don't know if I should ride the wave to wait it out or try something else. Anyone have any successful advice?

are you trying to install from the hard drive or a usb drive?

Yes. I did some research but ScanDisk seems to have issues, I tried a different brand, & it worked like a charm.
