I already looked up how to boot from a flash drive, but I'm unable to boot from my flash drive and the options that I've been told don't exist on this BIOS. I have the ASUS M5A78L mobo, the BIOS version is 2101. I am completely unable to boot from the flash drive, and it completely ignores my boot priority. (yes, I saved it and rinsed and repeated this process so many times)

(And yes, my USB ports are working... I checked)

Is there ANY way to transfer it from a USB to a CD? It detects my CD, and even in Boot Priority, it detects the USB, but it just won't boot the Windows 10 USB.

Solution
The problem is with the usb windows 10 installation itself. You will need to open up the tool again and select create boot or installation media for another PC. I've tried several work around's for this and non have ever worked. I do at least 5-7 windows 10 installs/ re-installs and all the older and even sometimes the motherboards that are less than 2-3 years old seem to have issues with it on the bios side of things regardless of updates. Just do as I said before and create a bookable DVD and it will work just fine. So once you get the DVD burned you should be good to go.
why not just make a bootable dvd using the media creation tool?

get it here

Its easier than trying to copy it over and getting it to work.

did you use the USB 2 slots at back of motherboard? Asus motherboards are just a pain to boot from USB, its why I am glad I have a Blue ray drive.

It might be a issue with the BIOS as in you need to update it or it could be a setting that wont allow you to boot from USB.

Also check in another computer that there is bootable media and not just a ISO file copied to the USB.

Try downloading the ISO file instead and then use a 3rd party software like Rufus to make a bootable USB

Because if it fails to write it properly you don't have to download it again and waste your time when the out come is the same and makes it better for failure.

When media creation tool makes a good bootable USB every time then i go with them instead but till then Rufus.

They need another way to install it, that works... DVD, half new computers don't have one of the drives.. USB, half the new Z170 motherboards don't like booting from USB.. so whats left? Intel security methods reducing ability to actually install windows in first place.

I hadn't thought about the dl thing, i guess that is a good point. I have an Asus board and the pain involved in using USB on them meant I just made ISO anyway. Still have the ISO on my hdd from my last rebuild.

im not sure what kind of USB drives or systems you are running but i never had the media creation tool but i never had any issues with writing to a USB stick or any issues installing windows 10 using it. I find the media creation tool would be more user frienly for people who are not as advanced

True but i am only going off what i know from my experiences i have had to install windows 6 times on my PC and more or less every time i used media creation tool to create USB it did not work but Rufus did for me i used it ever since
