Hey all,

My first post in a while and sadly it's an issue I've been having for some time.
I'm trying to set up a VPN connection over my home wireless but I keep getting thrown an error (below).

I'm very confused and unsure how to fix it.

The steps I took:

1. Gathered default gateway and IP from laptop.
2. disabled IPv6 on bother WiFi adapters.
3. Created an incoming connection on laptop with a ip range.
4. Followed standard procedure to setup the rest of the VPN via the built-in feature.

I have a feeling it may be down to my default gateway as it ends in 254, not allowing me to generate a fair range of IP connections.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind Regards
Shia

If you want to connect from the outside world to your laptop you would need a VPN server/host.
Also check your router and make sure VPN passthrough is enabled along with verifying firewall allows VPN
Not quite sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish, so can you answer a couple of questions, or maybe explain what you are ultimately trying to accomplish.

Do you want to be at a remote location and connect to your laptop? or are you trying to setup a VPN connection from you laptop via wireless to a remote location?

Yes, something along those lines, however it refuses to acknowledge that I have the VPN set up by not connecting to it.
