Something that works some times and doesn't work other times.

Two Windows 10 computers on the same workgroup and signed into the same Microsoft account and operating through the same router and sharing the same Internet account. All Windows 10 sync settings are turned on for both computers and network discovery is turned on for both computers.

Sometimes when the wallpaper background is changed on one computer, that background also changes on both computers. However, at other times when the identical action is taken, the change of wallpaper on one computer will have no effect on the other. There's no apparent explanation of why this does happen or does not happen.

This is not a problem. Rather, it's an unexplained mystery.

I assume they have 2 different licence keys as otherwise it would confuse hell out of Windows activation servers as to which is live.

The mysteries of Windows Sync.. there is a 3rd computer involved, the server that has your stored roaming profiles.

Its possible when only one updates, the server isn't in update mode (Or something) and it only sends the update to other PC at a later time. When both change at same time, it might have been actively syncing changes.

I don't use sync myself as it has a record of my old monitor size and thinks 1080p is reasonable background wallpaper on a 4k monitor. It would change it on login or at random times. I only have 1 PC anyway.
