When I attempt to install the driver I get an error message saying The graphics driver cannot find compatible graphics hardware. Windows XP and Windows 7 still recognizes the card.

Solution

It should work, I run a Geforce 210 in a older Dell system just fine as the onboard was unsupported in Win 10.

OP I'd uninstall your old drivers if you installed them some how, Restart after you removed them all.

Download and...

Download the driver of this GPU fron Nvidia's website. but I'm not sure whether Nvidia gives support to it's geforce 200 series for windows 10 or not , as they have only stated that dx12 on windows 10 would be supported on 400 series and above.
Link to nvidia display driver support:

Download and install the drivers and let us know what happens.

This is the Windows 10 driver for your card, pick only 1 of them, you do have to know if your copy of windows 10 is 32bit or 64bit or the drivers will not work.

64bit = http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/87988

32bit = http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/87986
