Well, I get an error whenever I try to update.
Apps have been acting weird recently, wont open etc.
Troubleshooter doesnt find anything, as well as the commands I used in powershell.
Furthermore, when I press advanced options or view update history the screen just freezes....
Would love to solve this issue...if anybody has ideas...

Firstly, I’d make sure Windows Update is running. In the search bar, search for “Services” and click enter. You should find Windows Update in the list and just verify that it isn’t disabled and set it to automatic if it isn’t already. If it is already set to automatic, change it to disabled and restart. Once the reboot is complete, change it back to automatic and try to run Windows Update.

Do you have an antivirus software installed? If so, try disabling it temporarily. It’s also worth running a full/deep malware scan of the system for malware since you say other apps have been having issues.

I also found this thread on Microsoft’s forums that offers a potential solution… https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...80080005/07b6e544-a501-4492-851d-83fcb80e8f2f

You can also run the Windows Update troubleshooter but, in my experience, it doesn’t really do much.

Try running this command as well: chkdsk /f c (it will require a reboot). Fair warning, the process can take an hour or more.

You can also use the Windows 10 Media Creation tool to update the operating system. Make sure to select the option to keep files and applications. See link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

You might find its faster to do a repair install - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html
it will take win 10 back to how it was when 22H2 was released and it will take about 15 minutes to be back in a working PC.
Windows will need to grab a updates to be current but it should fix this.
You may need to remove any anti virus programs to run the action, they might get in the way.
I did it myself a few months ago when windows update broke.

note: you need to be on 22H2 now for this to work. As ISO will be the latest version of windows.
