I have a possible nightmare. My central computer has had windows 10 installed and now the evga x58 motherboard has failed with little chance of an identical replacement being available how will I reactivate windows on a different mobo?
Thank you for your time.
UPDATE: I have run around the issue by test booting a clone of my previous Win7pro installation. I have done some reading about windows 10 and still feel (after a month of using,) that it is way too intrusive/connected. This is my personal opinion and not shared by everyone I talk to about such things. I decided to return to Windows 7 as am very comfortable with it. The performance benchmarks are very close (windows 10 is slightly faster but gives me more lag in games even after turning off all access to other app.s and changing the default settings of windows update to "do no update others".). Windows 7 Pro x64 came up, installed drivers and re-activated with out issue (I am still surprised.). Thank you for your interest. Squared away.
