Hey guys,
I'm having an issue with a fresh installation of Windows 11 pro. Like the title says: when I start the computer up it takes only 5 seconds to get to the PIN page, but when I enter the PIN then it hangs for a good 20-30 sec with the circle thing going round and round before showing the desktop.
I checked with a software to see if and what and how long it takes to load at startup and looks like no app is causing that.
Any idea?
Thanks

Remove your password and time it with or without password as see how long it takes to boot to desktop.

You will have to manually adjust timing it with password to clocking it up to the password page than pause clock while you put in password than restart clock once you hit inter.

What if any difference in timing did it do between both ways.

SOLVED
After having spent many hours trying everything I could think of, including what @stonecarver kindly suggested, and reading tons of forums and articles and testing this and that, I found the solution by turning off the "show background image in logon screen" in settings, personalization, lock screen. The picture I had chosen for login screen when the user is prompted to type the PIN was a 4K image, so perhaps it was too heavy to manage while Windows and the desktop were loading in background. Well, we all know...Windows sucks!
Anyway, it looks like I fixed it. I hope this will help other users here.
