Hello

Apologies in advance, I'm new to this forum so probably doing this all wrong. I've been trying to install Windows 11 through the Windows Insider Program but keep getting a 0xc190012e at about 7%.

Windows update is saying my PC doesn't meet the system requirements but the PC Health Check App says it does, I've enabled TPM 2.0 on my MBO (Dark Hero) and I'm well above the hardware requirements (32MB ram, 3080 GPU, 5800 CPU, 2TB SSD).

It's not a big deal, my sensible side says I should probably wait to upgrade but just wonder what is going on here?

Cheers

Steve

have you tried running SFC/DISM to check windows.
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:

Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter

SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

The upgrade advisor thing was removed because it gave almost NO actual reason for a fail.
Its been re released this week. Although it might still be on insiders only.

did you run the new test they released this week?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewpchealth

as its slightly more realistic. I still pass even though I have secure boot off.

you might need to download an ISO from uupdump and fresh install since the updater is clearly wrong

or just wait till win 11 is out as you not really missing anything using 10 now.

I've got the same issue. However the update is released now.

I've enable TPM 2.0 and secure boot, pc health check now comes back stating my pc is ready however windows update has an error:
This pc doesn't meet all the system requirements for Windows 11...?

Just download whynotwin11 and it's returned that I need direct X 12 or wddm2 installed.

Going to install these now and I'll get back to you.

Re uefi yes I've enabled that in the bios, had to perform the mbr2gpt process to enable secure boot

Scratch that, I had an old version of whynotwin11 installed.
Installed the latest version and get a prompt advising my machine is ready.

So both pc health check, and whynotwin11 both advise I'm ready. However windows update still have the error.

There's a couple of reports of the same issue on the Microsoft support forum. Microsoft have advised the windows update checks your device periodically, so to wait a few days and try again.

Cheers for the help

Hi,
Same issue, I have the ROG B-550 Wifi MB. Win Update said requirements not met no matter what updates I did.

Downloaded Win 11 and installed with installation tool, not Win Update.
Installation interrupted because of an outdated driver (LAN monitoring bloatware included with MB). Uninstalled the LAN monitoring program, then installed without issue.

Hi,

This could be a false-positive, I suggest you check again and try one more time, probably the issue was fixed in the meanwhile.
If u check this article https://windowsreport.com/pc-health-check-app-windows-11/ it will show you how to fix some issues and install again W11 safely.

In any case, Windows11 is still unstable and crashing. So, if it doesn't allow you to upgrade just wait a little while until the next update, there's nothing more you can do there, unfortunately 🙁!

Cheers
