Windows 200, Norton Antivirus & TCP/IP

Just upgraded my brother-in-law from Windows 98 to Win2k and we have just one problem. When the computer first boots up it gives an error that TCP/IP hasn't been installed so it can't automatically scan e-mails. He's on a dial-up connection. Do I need to reinstall NAV, or what?

Just checked it tonite. I'm going into the control panel. The only thing under the network icon is the ISP dial-up connection. I don't see anything there for TCP/IP protocol. Am I looking in the right place?

double click on the dial up connection -> Properties -> Networking tab -> is TCP/IP checked off?
