Hi All,
I would like to ask for your expert opinion about a situation that I've encountered in configuring DHCP for Windows 2003 server.
The machine has two ethernet ports, one for internet, the other for the local area.
I added the DHCP service. I somehow succeeded and defining the scope and all but the server was not giving out IP addresses. I then recall that if the server's recognized IP address is not within range of the intended scope of the DHCP, no leases will be given.
As it stands, the ethernet adapter for the local area connection is within the ip range of the DHCP scope. However, what is recognized by the server is the IP address for the ethernet port intended for internet.
Is there a way I can 'bind' the DHCP service to just listen to the port for the local area?
Thanks!
