Windows 7 32 bit installation

Will Windows 7 32-it operating system run 16-bit (X86) & MS-DOS software?

We know about VMWARE, DOSBOX & WINDOWS XP MODE ... but want to know if anyone has tried the 32-bit installation of Windows 7 with these older generation programs.

run the windows 7 upgrade advisor and see if it complains about the 16 bit apps you have installed.

OK, we followed your suggestion. Really didn't think it would address our MS-DOS or x86 16-bit program operational questions. It didn't. It let us know that the machine was just fine for WIN7. But we knew that. Thanks. Anyone else?

Ugh, sorry about that. It specifically says in the first paragraph:


It scans your PC for potential issues with your hardware, devices, and installed programs, and recommends what to do before you upgrade.

Sorry, but that won't work with this ms dos program & win 7 64 bit. program won't exceute at all.

again, our question - to anyone who has run 16 bit apps on windows 7 32 bit versiuon operating system ?

??? Of course 16 bit apps won't run under 64 bit windows. The article I linked to is running 16 bit apps under 32 bit windows 7.
