I've downloaded and installer a driver recommended by "Driver Support" on my wife's Toshiba C660-S2PJ laptop.

Upon restarting the laptop win7 starts to start up and then gives be a black screen with a white curser. I've downloaded win7 64 32 bit and copied it to a bootable usb drive and on a dvd.

I've also changed the laptop's bios so that it boots from the DVD and the the bootable usb drive. (F2) I've also tried(F8) to "repair last known good configuration as well as repair computer(also under (F8), but when restarting the screen shows loading windows files and as soon as the 4 squares of the logo appears the screen goes black with a white curser.

Could you please assist?

Regards

Hi,

I think the drivers are not suitable to your laptop

Uninstall the latest drivers which have u installed

Steps : Put the disc in your optical drive and restart to boot from the DVD. You may have to change the boot settings in your BIOS if booting from a CD/DVD is not enabled. (See how here.) Watch for the “Press any key to boot from CD or DVD” message.
On the "Install Windows" screen, make the appropriate selections for language, time, and keyboard, and then click “Next”.
On the next screen, click “Repair Your Computer”. Do not click "Install now"
In “System Recovery Options”, select which operating system you want to restore if any are listed. It will be blank in many systems with only one operating system.
Click “Next”.
The “System Recovery Options” screen shown below will open.
Select “Restore” option
after that u can see the restore point in your windows.
select the restore point in the below.
Hit enter on the particular point it will restarts after several minutes .

Now u can use ur PC
